Red face Kind of a sad day, but not really

I have called my son Catfish from early in my wife's pregnancy about 3.5 yrs now. Lastnight I told him it was time to start training, and learning how to cast his fishing pole. We were goign to do that on Saturday after he got back from a b-day party for a friend. He informed me he wished to no longer be called Catfish. I got a little misty eyed at that.

But then he said he wanted to be called Crappie insted! I almost lost it then.

    Its a good day!

    Awesome!

My Grandpa sat me in the back yard with a baitcaster with a 5/8 oz plug and a five gallon bucket when I was just a little feller.
Well before I was a teenager I could wear that bucket out casting and flipping.

Some of my best memories are flipping at that ole' bucket.

Enjoy him while you can. Before you know it he will be off to college.
