    Default Arkansas Crappie Association update

I have visited with a lot of the guys on the forum the last few days and feel it is best we make this a little easier so we are going to rename Arkansas Crappie Association to Central Arkansas Crappie Association!! Since we show much more support around the central area of the state I guess that is where we will focus. Also I want to address one tournament on April 20 Lake Dardanelle yes it is the weekend of Crappie Camp but here is the deal I have been working on, this tournament will be a Benefit tournament and the top three teams will receive trophies and the first place team will get to choose which charity the collected money will go too! Also if you still have not voted on the thread labeled ACA feb 23 tourney for which lake you want to fish please do so by this Sunday Feb 3 7pm so we can get the lake set in stone and I can get all the details set up for meeting site and weigh in site. Per our rules the top three teams of each tournament will be required to share how they fished and whatever else they can share to help us become better Crappie fishermen!! The name change does not mean only Central Folks can fish we welcome anyone that wants to attend!!!!!! Creekslick please let me know what I need to do to update the sticky I want to edit all the headings on the rules and schedule.
    Thank you

    Default Arkansas Crappie Association update

As you can see, Jason has listened to all comments and has made changes best suited based on the inputs he has received. Now, let's get the vote done on the first tournament and let's roll! I think the idea for the April 20th tournament is a good one and will show the care and compassion we have as a group and what better way to show it than at the crappie camp!

Jason, I personally thank you for all of your hard work in making this happen.

I think this will better the chances of having more consistent members and tournament fishermen. I'm ready for it all to start.

Jason think for all the hard work and i really like this part " Per our rules the top three teams of each tournament will be required to share how they fished and whatever else they can share to help us become better Crappie fishermen!! " Good job
All men are created equal, some work harder in the preseason.

It is meant to be as much a fish and teach/learning format as a competitive format. I know the last ones we've had over the last couple of years has went well and I think everyone had a good experience. We even had one on Conway a few years ago where we handed out the same jigs used that day by the winners to several of the teams that entered.

Sticky has been updated! If anyone has any questions feel free to contact me! Remember this is just getting started and we would like any help anyone can offer!! This will be a family fun trail as noted in the rules you can fish two adults and one child under 16 per boat so everyone lets get the kids in the outdoors!!!!!

Thanks for all your efforts Jason. I havent fished any of these tournaments in the past, but im gonna try to make it to some this year. I'm sure not qualified to help in any official capacity, but i live in Mayflower and would be glad to volunteer to help out where i can. Especially the Conway or Brewer tourneys. Just let me know if i can help.
