I like collarless jig heads with sickle hooks either size 2 or 4 for the most part. Head styles vary but I use mostly ball, walleye, minnow and pill style heads. Haven't used the weedless styles. I get mine from Robert at crazy angler tackle or Tim White at TNT Tackle he's a fellow Arkansan as well. I didn't know creek slick sold jig heads but I would give him a look too.
Fishing jig under the bobber casting:
99.99% of the time I use a 1/32 hot pick jig head with a solid body char/glitter tube or grub and a platinum nibble for shiggles.
If I am not catching on this, I'd be most certain nobody's catching.
Come spring and summer its tight lining the green cypress here on out.
1/16 - 1/8 I prefer multi colored heads with some big ole super jigs, maybe some Bobby Garlands.
If the bites really on I may tie on a hair jig due to the durability!
Save A Minnow, Use A Jig
I pour my own. Round head and minnow heads. Most of the time 1/16 oz. but I will vary at times from 1/64 up to 1/4 oz. I pick size according to depth, wind and bite.
No luck i two types jigs but my goto jig is the light wire made by one of the forum members. Cost a little more but pays for itself in the long run.
I use 1/16 oz Meatgetter jig. Its round head #2sickle. These things are sharp. Creek slick has a good jig also. We have enough guys here in Arkansas that can make what ever you want and keep your money here and they give some of the best reports. Also at times I use 1/32 (on CrappiePro's advice) I like the MRCrappie brand at walmart. It has a nice size hook in it.
