That would be an issue if your trolling cranks but with jigs or minnows u only loose the hook or jig but save the weights which are the most expensive part of the set up

Greg dont be giving all my secrets away lol. Sounds like u need to tune your jig hooks. Use braid and no problems pushing jigs. But hey i don't know much.
