Sorry to hear that. I will let you in on a not so very well kept secret of Conway fishers from a way back on this forum. The clue is to do a forum search on butterfly and then a search for chicken or chickens disregard any post that does not concern an actual butterfly or an actual chicken. These are the key to good lake Conway mojo. Once you have it, you will never have a slow bite again.

I fished gold creek up to the pool on Sunday afternoon/evening, and the bite was also really slow. Hope it picks up sometime...
