Default No more buckets for me!!

I tried J.W.'s bucket technique this morning. I think it just works on small fish. Fished from 7:00 till 2:00 and caught one crappie, 5 green carp and one white bass. The only one big enough to eat would have been the white bass but I turned it loose to grow...
But I did have a great time on the water as always.... If anyone is looking for a fishing bucket I got one I will let go of cheap!!

Sounds like the luck we had on Washington yesterday. High and muddy.

I would J.W. but I don't think the present habitat will support more than a handful per acre.....

Believe me it's been tried......I fished over some condos that were dropped by Gasper Goule a couple of yrs ago.....nuthin'....... I should have been suspicous when game and fish were counting and measuring every crappie brought out of that lake for several months straight 2-3 yrs back. I just assumed at the time that they were glad the Crappie were in there..........but maybe they were just checking to see how much mossy cover to eliminate and how many Crappie Eaters to turn loose to keep the population down so they wouldn't compete with the bass???? Anyway, for whatever reason, the crappie are really hard to find and catch at LM now.

That stinks, The fish up this way haven't been on cover much but are starting to move a little. Water temps 44 so won't be long and you can head up here to bend the old poles. Let me know when you head to MS and fish may drag the old boat down there again with ya.

Whatever happened to Gasper Ghoul? He used to be on here all the time. Fished a lot around Moro Bay, as I recall.
My wife keeps saying I never listen to her....... or something like that!

Cold water crappie can be good if your on a lake with decent numbers of them.....like that Dardanelle for instance, they've been tearing them up here lately. The only buckets we've been around have been the ones we've been sinking in the lake for later on. I'm putting least 3 to 4 in the same area's in hopes of that being enough to draw and hold crappie. I've sunk more brush this year than I ever have in hopes of having better fishing holes in the future.
