Default Had to catch fish to try out new fillet knife

I got a new piranha fillet knife from my bride for Christmas. I was anxious to try it out so I made a quick trip to the lake about 10:30 this AM. By 2:00 I had 18 nice crappie to practice on with my new knife. I really did like it after I got use to the sharp blades. The fish were on ledges in 25 to 30 fow. Used a Char and white umbrella 1/ 8 oz jig with a split shot above it. They were really firing up. Forgive me for not limiting out but I had to be home by 3:00. Very few boats out and was a pleasant day.

Thats it CA. I caught about 15 of the eighteen on this one jig. Not that they wouldn't take any of the other colors. Who knows.

The Umbrellas are larger than most regular Crappie tubes.
