    Default Rescue Mission A Success

Went to Sardis to break in the demo today, and one if our Sippi C.C members had a minor accident. Hit a 4" deep ledge at 40 mph, and left him stuck in the mud. I got him out with the help of 360' of rope we borrowed from the Corp. Hard to yank a boat out when you're only floatin in a foot and a half of water.
He had been stranded there for 61/2 hours before we got to him.

The Blue Thunder did her job. Lost a little paint on the Skeg, but paint is cheap compared to leaving a buddy stranded!!!!

BTW, this boat IS a Rocket!!!!!! Put 21/2 hrs on her, and had room to go when I set her down at 65mph!!!!! Can't wait to get the jack plate adjusted right!!!! Trimmed up, she'll shoot a rooster tail about as high as the engine cowling, but was only turning 5700 RPM's. When I raise the jack plate a little, she will hit about 6200. Figure that at 1.5 to 2mph for every 100 RPM's on the top end. Purdy swooft in a tin boat!!!!

I meant to behave, but there were just way too many other options available at the time.

I'm glad I was not in the boat with Yikess when he hit the ledge.
