Default Black eyed peas and hawg jaw

Its a new years day tradition to have this meal , it's supposed to bring good luck to those who eat it, does anyone else do this ? We look forward to it every new year, gotta throw some cornbread in there to!

Been eating black eyed peas and hog jowl for as long as I can remember, and I'm an old dude! Wife just served up a bowl with a big piece of cornbread!
My wife keeps saying I never listen to her....... or something like that!
