52 ft Crappie ! ! ! ! !

I got to go for a couple of hours this morning at our local pothole (Lake Monticello). Caught this Mama in 52 FOW fishing 51 ft deep!!! Thought I would practice my "longarm" technique for the pic, LOL.......

Wow, that's crazy !! I'm impressed. Couple of questions come from this though:

1. What made you fish 50+ fow ?
2. What were using ? More specifically how heavy of a jig head ?
3. Were you using a leader tied off to the anchor rope ?

Good job, that one would have eluded me for sure. I'd have never even given him the opportunity to bite. Guess I'll have to remember to look deep on high pressure days like this morning was.
