They weigh about 99lbs. They fit in a 31 series box or tray. They are a bit taller than a standard battery, but they will fit in most applications.

BTW, you can go to the US Battery website and get the specs. They are called a 12v CX2 I think.

I have never thought of using Golf Cart batteries, but I'll keep that in mind. I usee the WalMart Maxx batteries and have have good luck with them. I use a 24V minn Kota Trolling Motor and I can get 2 days of trolling out of them with no problem. I am on my 4th year with these batteries now and I can't help but wonder when they will let me down. I can't say anything bad about them at all.
Seems like we have some experts on this subject; I have a question if I may....
My boat came equiped with a 24 group 12v. I have also added a 27 group 12v with an "either/or" switch. Neither battery will last more than about 30 minuets while pulling at 1.8 MPH. They will go another couple of hours maybe at 1 MPH or less. The 24 is a couple of years old. When it started acting this way, I rigged the 27 group. I have tried charging them with two different chargers.
Do you think both batteries are capoot? Or do I have a bad TM pulling too many amps? It really is a PITA no more fishing than I get to do.

What kinda trolling motor is it?? I had a 12v 55 pound thrust and it would do the job but had to run a kicker on the back for a few hours and run 2 batts parralel to get 7 or 8 hours out of it. The higher you run the troller the more amps you are drawing and eats batts quick. If you are running a 12v troller I would say this has a lot to do with it. Another tip that will make a BIG difference when pulling cranks is to raise the big motor completely our of the water, speeded me up about 2 tenths just doing that which allowed me to turn the troller down using less juice.
