Dad and I on Muamelle 11-24-12

My dad and I and my favorite fishing partner Mark H. got out on Maumelle to catch some crappie. They were mostly caught on the main channel relating to the drop off from 10-20 feet deep in 20-30 feet of water. We used mostly Zoom tiny flukes trimmed up a bit and with the tails painted chartreuse on round jig heads (1/8 oz). Dad was down for Thanksgiving, and he had never caught crappie in these size or numbers so he had the time of his life. We kept 29 crappie and 9 spotted bass, and probably released another 5-6 small crappie and at least a dozen spotted bass. Great day on the water!
