Lake Chicot Management Plan input period closes Nov. 18

LAKE VILLAGE – The Lake Chicot Management Plan is up for revision this year. The management plan is renewed every five years.

The Arkansas Game and Fish Commission held a public meeting on Oct. 18 to gather input from the public. An online survey for the proposed changes is still available on the agency’s website at Lake Chicot Management Plan Survey. Deadline for input on the management plan is Nov. 18.

A few of the proposed changes include:

*Removing the 10-inch crappie length limit on the lake.

*Changing the start of drawdowns to after July 4.
