Right now I really think you can catch em on any bright colored jig hair or tube. it's just a matter of location... the right pads, wood cover, or deep water brush. When you find em they will hit the kitchen sink CA. As far as specks they seem to be better in the southern end of the lake. Mostly whites are caught right now in the creeks with an occasional nice black. I get real mad at them whites in the fall cos they do such a good job of advoiding me in the summer unlike the black crappie. So for me it's a little white crappie payback fall through spring. LOL
