Paint it before that dirty,trashy,stinking, putrid river sand gets ahold of um. I'd use the cheap spay on bed liner in a can.

Looking good YJ. One suggestion I would tack a washer on the bottom to keep reel from resting on top edge and hole in washer let any water drain out.
