Default Pullin Cranks - Water Temp Question

When do most of you all, that pull cranks (Creekslick), quit pullin? Is there a rule of thumb on the water temperature?

A lot of people pull during the summer months. But I have no idea on what the season is or if there is one. You would think it could produce year round but I'm sure sometimes are better than others. I'll be I interested to see what creek has to say.

I have pulled cranks on Thanksgiving Day and caught fish. Usually the "magic" number for water temp is 70 degrees. But I caught some on Lake Washington 2 years ago and the water temp was 56 degrees. So for me there is no specific temp for me to start or stop pulling them. I pull them in the fall until the fish stop hitting them and start pulling them right after the spawn.

I think you could catch them anytime with right speed and depth. They hit jigs year round, why not cranks? Here those Crappie will even tackle huge double willow leaf 3/8 oz spinnerbaits while Bass fishing.

Why ain't you over here helping thin the population a little? You'd think after 70 + years of fish catching here the aggressive traits would be weaken in these fish. lol lol

Mainly pulling cranks on nimrod now may be tough as there is a lot to hang up on. Summer seems to be what I see most people commenting on.
