That is very true but the problem is that Bandit crankbaits, which most people use, don't wobble and rattle correctly until you pull them 1.5 mph. There may other cranks out there that do but Bandits are all that I use.

I pulled over there last year and caught several fish. I stayed in the area close to the dam and did not get hung up too much.

I dont need a mechanic as much as i need parts. Those seem hard to come by.

I pulled down to 48 degrees last winter. Strikes were fewer but the crappie that hit were a year class bigger than the majority of what I was catching jigging. Shadraps and wigglewart type baits that get busy around 1 mph.

CMJ Take your motor to Chuck at HWY landing... across from Bates. He does good work to smaller engines and Ive used him several times. He is also reasonable priced. Tell him Russ sent ya.
