    Default Gold creek today

Well the bite didnt happen today. Met up with supergoose and we droped some jigs down in the creek for 5 hrs and only had 6 crappie to show for it. Met forum member split shot there and he had one crappie he gave us that liked the minners. Nice to meet ya buddy. Didnt see many fish caught except for shad that liked the jigs. They were so thick the lowrance screen would choke out with em. Oh well i guess we gonna head farther norh tomorrow and drown some more jigs.

On the brighter side i caught a hog drum yesterday and them light wire hooks held up to the battle. Them drum were wearing me out at the river. Ended up with 8 crappie and 4 green carp on the river.

Ruff indeed. Truth be told that fish, the one throwback crappie, one white bass, and one catfish all bit on jigs, but that don't mean I'm kickin the minner habit just yet. I like to show em a variety. It was nice to meet y'all. Maybe next time we'll be catchin fish. :D
