    Default Target Rich Enviroment/Lake Conway/8-29-12

While Conway is a Target rich enviroment...It's spots like in the pictures where you should take your battle with a verticle Jig Pole. And if those trees are protected from the wind in 4-6 feet deep you most likely will find a cluster of trees loaded with fat crappie on Conway. This has been the pattern for me the last two weeks that has put fish after fish in my livewell. Look for small clusters of trees from a few trees to about no more than a acre or two in 4-6 feet deep. The clusters of trees on the south end of Art's Pond and around Adams Lake has been big producers for me lately. The evening bite has been better than the morning bite for me also. Most all my fish are being caught on a White n Chart Meatgetter jig or a Midsouth tube. It's been good fishing and I have been averaging 15-20 good fish a trip. The ones in the Pic were caught today from daylight to 1PM. I also have caught as many as 10 good fish out of one good cluster of trees but this is rare... most times its ones or twosey's then off too the next cluster on Conway. It wont be long and the fall bite will begin I expect it will take a little longer to get going due to the Hot Summer. Tight lines and look forward to seeing you all at Crappie Camp.

Nice report. Funny you should mention isolated patches of trees, cause it works that way in stump fields too sometimes. Any particular ramps better than others with the water being so low? I've been hesitant to get my boat out there. I don't blink an eye when my home lake is low, but I don't know squat bout Conway....yet:D
