Default Fall Camp Where To Stay

There arwe 4 or 5 camp grounds around Lake Nimrod. Go to recreation.gov and put in Lake Nimrod 72857. Most will be staying at Catter Cove.

There is a motel at Dardanelle, about 25 miles away. Economy Inn, 479-229-4118. Not American owned.

There are som motels in Russellville about 30 miles away. I know nothing about these motels.

    Days Inn 479-280-1940

    Super 8 479-968-8898

    Brookfirld Inn 479-968-4300

    Economt Inn 479-968-4400

There are motels I just picked a few.

Carter Cove has some really nice camp sites and they have the regular shower/bathrooms and they just built a brand new set over in the newer part of the campgrounds. These are in the same campgrounds that we're going to have our get-togethers. Quarry Cove also has real nice campgrounds and it's located about 4 miles down the lake towards the dam.

You can reserve them. Go to the top of page for web site from Harold. If Lazer is out there what site are you in.

If I get to make it this year, I will be in a Wally-World Tent in a campsite, roughing it as some might say. But it sure is fun fishing and tent camping.

I'm mostly a lurker here, post every so often. But I've fished Nimrod for over 35 years....in my own way.

I'd love to meet some of you, learn new ways.......but I am afraid that Sept 8 is the main weekend we have committed to work at deer camp. We spend about 15 days down there every September.....required if we don't want the jungle to choke us out. I am not 100% sure, but I think that weekend is right in the middle of our work. It takes all of us, and I couldn't back out on them....tractors will be there, etc.

BUT.....if there is any way, I will try and come. I just can't count on it.
