Default Update Lake Conway (drying up)!!!!

I was on the lake today and to say the least it is vary dangerous to run at any kind of speed, the local wildlife officer was out again today and he tore up his outboard again, he said he hit several stumps in the boat lanes and that he has never experience this before, he said the lake is as low as he has seen it without a drawdown.
Welcome to the home of the, boat eating, trolling motor busting, prop bending, lower unit smashing, stump filled mud hole called Lake Conway.

Greg, it is not near as painfull if the money ain't coming from your pocket. Like everything else we the people foot the bill. There has been a bunch of unhappy sportsmen wanting that tax repealed cause basically , they say the commission has no reason to listen anymore. They are too busy with their own agenda like building nature centers and bird watcher trails. We need to get them back into buying property and manage'n wildlife. All this tax money and gas lease money should be used for buying more places for sportsmen to fish and hunt. Most of what I see is non comsumptives activities like bird watching and nature centers. They discontinued some stocking of fish as cost prohibative. They are looking at nature trails for bird watchers on our WMA's. Look out cause pretty soon the bird watchers and PETA will be in control.

Down here we usually call 'em chinquapins. Finding a bed of them big redears and filling up an ice chest is a blast! Nimrod your right about the treehuggers taking over. The new world order and Agenda 21 is being implemented before our very eyes and we don't seem to be able to do anything about it. Hunting, Fishing and just being a Sportsman of the outdoors will soon be a thing of the past at the rate things are going.
