    Default Repeat at Little Maumelle

I just had to go back and get some more. They were a little bit slower today. With the cloud cover this morning, I thought it would be just the opposite. The majority may have possibly moved shallower, but I didn't get any takers in the skinny water. These were still suspending in 15' of water. Anybody ready to take a day off of work and join me?

    That's a 12" fillet knife for reference.

Pox I have a ton of rods I cant catch fish with that someone else could. Bottom line is the boy just does a good job scouting and has the patient of a 1st grade teacher. Give me a call the first week of August and we will go out and fish his spot. He will be starting his second year of med school so he wont be fishing it for the next few years. I cant wait to post some pics of some slabs I pull out of his honey hole while he is stuck in the hospital for days on end.

Nice fish Chris. No wonder I'm not doing any good on the weekends.

What did you catch them on?

J - They have been hitting a little bit of everything. But mostly, they have been hitting a pink head with blk/chart skirt or a blue/white skirt. All tipped with minnows.

Well, I went again this morning. It started off to be an awesome day, but the wind decided differently about 9:30. I got 6 nice ones before the wind came up. The wind/wave action just would not let me make the proper presentation. I would have needed 2oz. weights to stop the up/down action on the rods, but didn't have any. Still, here are a few pics from this morning...

    A beautiful sunrise...

    Nice scenary....

    1st slab of the day...
