CrappieKeeper and I started out yesterday really slow. Ended up finding crappie suspended in creeks 6 feet deep in 12 to 14 FOW. We were fortunate enough to catch our 2 limits but nothing real big. Had to switch from jigs to Lake Fork Lures Live Baby Shad. Slow trolling a couple poles apiece with pink Bighead Jigs and Albino Shad LFT Live Baby Shad.
Today, was a different story. We only were able to fish until 9:00 due to me having to go get Debra at the hospital. She had gotten a bad spider bite. Wasn't supposed to come home until possibly Tuesday.
But we ended up with about 15 decent keeper crappie and Lake Fork Live Baby Shad apparently just doesn't attract crappie...

7 lb. right on the button on the big one! The funny thing was CrappieKeeper spent a couple hours Saturday washing and scrubbing his carpet in his boat. When this "slimy" beast hit the floor he made a big mess!!![]()
