Default Another good trip to Nimrod

Went back to nimrod this morning with my fishing partner and had another fun trip, it was about as nice on the water as you could ask for, finished catching our limit around 10:45, caught them spidering 8-10ft deep in 11-32 fowName: ImageUploadedByTapatalk1340481770.415031.jpg

OK that pic looks just like his last pic. I think he is using the same pic over and over!!!

Hey Crappie Greg, any chance I could hook up with you guys on Blue Mountain sometime? Just even if I have to sit and watch you guys and how you do it. I can't even find 1 crappie that size let alone get my limit. They are obviously out there as you seem to always come back with a full cooler each trip. BTW, you fish Blue Mountain, what do you think this water drop will do? Is it even going to be possible to get on the water and fish or does something like that pretty much make the lake unfishable until they bring the water back up? It's been a really long time since they have dropped Blue Mountain from what I read on that flyer. Not really sure if anyone knows but didn't think it would hurt to ask.

Not sure myself Brosborough, I've only been to this lake 3 times in 15 years , but I've caught fish every time, as for the draw down I'm sure you'll be able to launch at Hise Hill because you launch directly into the Pettit Jean river as for any other launches I don't know, I plan on making another trip down there when the draw down is complete just to look around and see just how the channel runs through this lake it's very hard to navigate at full pool this will help in the future

About to get too hot to fish long. I almost burned up yesterday. Funny how sometimes fish bite better in the heat ain't it?

Had a spell with heat exhaustion yesterday myself Nimrod , after catching our limit yesterday my buddy wasn't ready to leave so we just keep fishing catch and release until about 1:30 , had a spell hit me and thought I was going to pass out and puke had to put a cold wet towel on my head and neck for about 10 minutes then got to feeling a little better and called it a day, need to make sure and have plenty of water or gatorade from now on!

Got heat cramps last year. Thought I was going to die. Driving back from Nimrod. Went when it was 100+ and like an idiot went by myself. Had been catching fish and thought I'd go for a 'while' and just come home in a few hours. Caught four, but all of a sudden I began feeling simply awful. I barely got the boat back on trailer. About Oppelo it hit me hard.....hands curled up, couldn't let go of steering wheel. Pain!!! Don't know how I made it home, much less how I backed boat into driveway. Next 6 hours was awful. Thought the wife wasn't going to let me go again because of heart condition, but then that crap hit and she's scared to let me out of her sight in the summer. (Has SOME advantages, but not that many!!! ) I read up on it, and it said heat cramps are a precursor to heat stroke (wow), and also once you get them, you tend to get them easily forever. Since then, I cramp up a LOT.

Water is good, but once you are thirsty it's TOO LATE. Gatorade is better. Drink like a drunken sailor, start way before you even feel warm.

Free safety notice given by a Grandfather (mine never let me go two feet without SOME kind of warning)......and right now it's already 100+ and not even July yet. If you're 30, that's fine. If you're not, please don't sit out there in the sun for a fish. If you do, HYDRATE.

Nimrod has produced for me for years in the huge worst heat. Don't know why. But it has. But this year, I might just read about it some, and stay home and pout. Just too hot for me right now.

Now back to your regularly scheduled programming.
