Lake Lee - slim pickin's - Pics

I went to Lake Lee this morning and fished till 4:00. This was my first time back on the water in three weeks and I needed a "tune-up", LOL! Didn't start fishing till 7:00 and it was 8:15 before I caught my first keeper....had three fish by 10:00 and was gettin' depressed. I finally found some Crappie 17 ft deep in 35 FOW but the bite was still slow. Had to take off all the Roadrunners and go to a 1/32 jighead with a Felsenthal tube after trying a zillion other colors, LOL! By noon there was a double handfull of jigs under my seat that I had tried before finding something they would even look twice at. Also had to troll SLOW or they wouldn't bite it...not my typical style but I needed practice slow-trolling for a change anyway. I wound up with 24 but that was with no dinks in the bunch....but no really good slabs either....threw back 10-12. Not a real good day for Lee but still loads of fun!!! One good thing though was that the Gar were not too bad today. I only had 5-6 gar mess with the jigs all day so that was a plus. It's really hard NOT to have a good time on Lee...even with a slow bite, LOL! For those that like pics here is the ice chest before I wrapped up the rods.
