Default Anyone fish Overcup or Maumelle?

Im thinking about trying to fish some new waters for a while and was wondering if the Corps of Engineers has sunk any condos or brush piles on either of these lakes? If so, any idea where? Any input would be helpful.

Neither of these lakes are Corps lake (that I know of) Maumelle is the drinking water supply for Little Rock, but ther eare some AGFC PVC condos in the lake. Go to the AGFC web site and the GPS coordinates should be on there somewhere. Maybe BigBen will chime in, he an give you much more info on this lake, as he is an expert on Maumelle.

    Good Luck!

Not sure about any condos on Overcup, but there are underwater brush piles that are marked by signs that stick up out of the water. You cant miss the signs.

Ditto. At Overcup, two years ago the levi broke (I think) so they did a lot of cleaning up at the time of the repair. They added a lot of new brush piles (which are still sticking up out of the water) and also cleaned up the boat lanes. I've been fishing there alot here lately and haven't had much luck on the crappie but that's mainly due to my inexperience. I really enjoy fishing this lake though and the people are always friendly there. I actually plan to fish a little tomorrow after work and plan to be back out there at 7am Saturday morning. I'm really wanting to get to know this lake and plan to do a little scouting Saturday morning. Another lake that I've heard is nice to fish is Lake Brewer around Plumerville. I've fished there a time or two and plan to learn more about it too.
A man is truly blessed, when he returns home from fishing to be greeted by the best catch of his life.

Cool, thanks for the input. Maybe one day i'll fork up the cash for a decent depth finder and i can get out there and find them myself. All i have now is a cheap hummingbird and it doesnt pick up very well so i dont use it much. Just one of the many setbacks of being a tightwad!
