    Default indian bay

Went to indian bay sunday with father in law and bass fished. Did pretty good but was wondering what the best way to crappie fish it and if there are some nice crappie numbers having been caught there?

It's about time you showed back up. Where you been hiding other than Indian Bay?

Isn't Indian Bay down around cross roads south of Holly Grove? I may have my bays mixed up.

If its the bay rcc is talking about, and you didn't invite me, you'r in deep do-do. (I can say that on here right?) There are some really nice crappie on that place. Not lots of really big fish, but some really nice river crappie. I'm sure the water is down, but when its up in the brush, you can just let the wind blow you down the edge and pick up fish after fish after fish. It was full of water then, cause it was up around 25'. When its low, you can find some trash under the canopy of the cypress trees, thats where they usually stay. But now let me warn ya, I"ve NEVER fished in the summer months. Only during deer season, or early spring. Invite me down some weekend in Oct, and I'll show ya.

Have fished the main body trolling and caught fish about 5 to 6 foot deep last year in the summer on jigs.

It was low but the ramp was okay, we were bass fishing and I was learning how to do it (father in law used to fish bass tourneys) so once I learned to use and catch fish on a topwater bait I was hooked. caught some nice bass down there. I would like to crappie fish but I have never fished a river system like that
Doug, it would have to come up 4-5 ft to get in the bushes
