Hey , we were wondering what happened to Ski trip. Glad you got him on some fish.
We caught 15 together had 4-5 nice ones and lost some good fish, Trying to fight a slab out of trees with the wind blowing is a work of art sometimes LOL wind was pretty bad but we did manage to send him home with dinner. He's still alive and kicking. Yesterday was pretty good, caught most all my limit off four clusters of trees here on Conway. Im going to make a trip over your way soon CA.
Glad to see that you and Ski Trip got in on some good ones, Russ!!

Sorry it took me so long to get back on here. I've had a really, really demanding two months since Spring crappie camp at Chicot, and just haven't had much time. Crappie Pro rescued me last week though, and schooled me on the fine art of fishing Lake Conway, as he usually does! The boy does know how to fish that body of water. We had a pretty rough day looking for scattered fish in 15 to 20 mph winds!! Didn't get to fish some places we wanted to fish because of the wind. We did catch some nice ones, even though our numbers were not up to his usual standards, and it was me, not him, that lost the fish! He's just being nice. We had a great day though and he is one whale of a guide!! Went to Dardanelle the next day and I believe we got hit by the 20 to 25 degree drop in temperature. Started raining on us at about 2:00 o'clock in the afternoon which ran us under a bridge for awhile and then back out into the lake for the rest of the day. I know you'll find it hard to believe but we dang near froze to death toward the end of the day! I'm not kidding! It was so cold we puttered back to the launch ramp rather than plane out and run. Had about the same kind of day numberwise, not up to CP's usual standards, but had a great time fishing together. I told him I must have caught the "RCC hex", what with me shutting down the bite two days in a row on two different lakes!! I think I got that from sleeping too close to RCC's boat at Chicot! Not sure if it's contagious or not, but just in case, I fish out of a green War Eagle 1542 with a 25 Yammy on it. Might want to keep your distance just in case, just to be safe! CP and I are going to try out spider riggin' a "local pothole" tomorrow and maybe if I shut the bite down again, we can at least snag a few! Me or him one will probably give you guys a report on how we did, hopefully with some pics of fish. Glad to be back on here after a long absence. It's good to be missed!
