Default Lake Conway Limit/5-26-12/Dear Old Dad with another Dardanelle good one.

It's been since March that Ive had a bad day on the water. Today on Conway It was nice to launch my boat at my house and go out and catch a limit of nice keepers. My last trip on Dardanelle Dear Old Dad caught his biggest a 2.7lb nice one, he does that allot fishes behind me and nails the big one often. Love Ya Dad. Conway the fish are around the trees and bitting dark body colors/chart tail in the middle of the day and bright colors early in the morning. Had a limit by 2pm. Tight Lines Guys...

Always great to fish with dad or kids. Sounds like a good day on the water. What no pictures in your kitchen today?

Man great catch and story. Wish my dad would fish with me but after having a lot of cancer removed from his face and arms he don't get in the sun anymore.

    Wow. Very nice.

I can't catch a fish on Lake Conway to save my soul. I spend all day with the wind blowing me onto a stump and trying to get off, just to blow to the next one. Overcup is same way. I'd LOVE to figure out Lake Conway, it's right here.....much cheaper. But I'm too dumb.

    Those are very nice.

Buckrub you can bring a long jig pole and get out there in the trees with me sometime. Don Blakely is a good guide to hire to teach you the ropes on Conway and would be well worth the money if you hire him.

Russ, I was in Conway at the end of April - 1st part of May. Went to Cargill one day and Conway the 2nd day. Cargill might have been good but the wind got up so bad that all we could do was tie up to a tree ( that was full of carpenter bees) and hang on for while until we decided it wasn't going to get any better. So we quit and decided to go to Lake Conway the next day. Got there by following 286 out of town and driving thru some State wildlife property. My son lives in Conway and had had some luck in that area a week or so before. We fished using lots of different colors, shapes and sizes of jigs. Even had a minnow or two left from the day before and tried them. My son caught 5 decent sized crappie but I only caught a couple. I need to get him in contact with you some time so he can learn a few tricks of the trade on Conway. I have fished it before with him on several occasions and had about the same luck. It is so convenient to get to and launch his boat but I really like Brewer. Have you fished it lately. Hooker from NC
