    Default Crappie Club

I sure wish there was a crappie club in north ar. It would be nice to have get togethers at different lakes, and have some good fellowship.
I'll like to see a club that held tournaments with no money involved, and give out trophys to the winners insteed of money, that way it would seem that guys wouldn't get to serious.

Yea I've never heard of any either. The guys that fish Conway and all along 40 west should start one, there seems to be a lot of crappie fisherman in that area.

I tried to start one several years ago around Grenada Lake, Ms. but nobody wanted to work in it, most just wanted to be a boss...lol
Some get to serious about it, and to me that takes the fun out of it. If a club had low membership fee's, and low tournament entrance fee's just to cover the tournament expense, I think that would work, and if no money exchanges hands the club could avoid a lot of techical tournament laws.
In some states a permit is required, and in Ms. it's $100 dollars on some of the big four lakes. A weigh scales would be needed, and trophys for the winners.

I would be nice if Arkansas had an organization like the Magnolia Crappie Club in Mississippi. It covers the entire state and has good experienced leadership from some very dedicated and smart folks.......people like that are hard to find and it requires an enormous amout of time....prob just wishful thinking...but maybe someday.......
    From the ARK-LA-MISS Delta....... Crappie Paradise ! ! ! !

back in the late 70s early 80s we had one in pine bluff and their was one in conway we had 8 tour. per year . one month pb would pick the lake and the next month conway would have it on there lake of choice. we keep individual stats. the top 10 of each club went to what we called the state championship in oct. i know the pb club had over 40 members then. we also had a fisherman of the year award!!!! we had a great time . we could start it again!!!!

It would be awesome to get that started, I think there would be plenty of support and boats to keeping it going
