Limit of brown fish for RCC

I've asked this before...but if you knew nothing about a lake as far as where to fish for the brims, what would you look for? Do you hit the same flats you caught crappie off of during the spawn and fan cast on the 3'-4' flats and drift for a bite or just idle around the banks looking for beds? Or go along the banks like bass fishermen casting and dragging baits back to the boat on the bottom? Clear water or stained water? etc.

Depends on the lake . Here water stained and fish in 3' of water on leaf beds or sand or gravel banks. Some clear deep lakes they maybe in 10' or more on humps.
