Wow, thanks guys for all the input. Yes , i went. 2 small crappie and two small bass. Spent most of my time just exploring the lake and watching my screen. Beatiful lake , pitiful drive ! The dirt/rock road was a mess . 10mph tops. Saw turkey , and a local 'lake ranger' ? Myself and one other boat with two guys were there . The 'ranger' took it upon himself to do a lookover of each boat , talk about our business and genrally just was a bother. Sure hate to hear about the thiefs. Nothing was bothered of mine , but i left at a weird hour (2pm), so maybe they didnt have time to zero in on me. If i ever go back , will be sure and stay untill after dark and try for some of the bullfrogs a heard .Not a place to go for a 'couple hrs fishin' . If you make the trek , plan to stay all day and enjoy it. Love a lake with no houses and noise, just peace and quiet (cept the ranger). I asked him about bears ...i think he told me about each of his 23 sightings. lol Something just was telling me 'stay away' like it was a private place for the 'ranger' and his 'camp' ??? Oh well , im a hardhead and will probally go back. Maybe we '( a bunch of us crappie.com folks) should all show up there on one specific day for a crappie hunt ? Saftey in numbers ? Either way , like i said . Im prolly goin back ..............tj

The Ranger was just doing his job. Gathering all the infomation about you that he can, that lake is for public drinking water and we have a lot of terrorist in America who would love to posion our waters. I am glad your trip was uneventful, but next time may not be the same!
