    Default Lowrance HDS question


    finally got my hds8 up and running but on the maiden voyage, after running it 15-20 mins. the screen went into what i would call a "sleep" mode to where you could barely make out any images. my question is this normal, and if not, do i have a setting wrong or what? the only way i could correct it was to turn the unit off and restart it.

    Lowrance Tech 1-800-628-4487. Could be voltage drop also. Might try to push the (power/ light) button lightly and see what brightness or stand by mode it is in.

    Mine does that occasionally. Restart and it's always worked fine for me. If it does it a lot, I'd send it to Lowrance.
