    Default Bad day at Nimrod


    Went out this morning to Lake Nimrod and caught three measly fish. Was fishing in the river but fish just were not biting. I am new to crappie fishing. I don't know if I am doing something wrong or what. Sounds like I need to jump in the boat with Nimrod and let him learn me a thing or two about crappie fishing. The fish would nibble at my jig but not take it. What is this telling you experienced fishermen? Should I be trying shimmers instead of jigs when they are biting this way? Any help would be appreciated!!!

    Meant to say shinners instead of shimmers. This auto correct on my phone screwed me up.

    Means you were not on fish. I never use anything but jigs, (99.9 % of the time here) it's 1/8 in a Umbrella tube bait.
