    Default Ouachita report

I know if you ain't got pictures, it don't mean anything. Well it still means I don't have a camera to take out in the boat.
This was my first time in the upper end of the lake. I spent a few days camped in Tompkins Bend. I caught 14 out of Twin Creeks on my first afternoon. The wind and a pontoon boat in my spot forced me back down the lake some the next morning. I picked up 8 trolling Bandits in 20' to 30' near Denby point. These were larger. I also picked up a couple of real nice walleyes.
This was more of a family reunion than a fishing trip. The wind and youngsters in the boat made it difficult for me to learn much about a new area. The younguns were from a large foster family from Texas. They got to go home with a couple of gallons of fillets.

We cooked for about 60 on a cooker like yours. Maybe Mrs DP will get me a smaller version for my Bday.

Dr pepper, You catch enough fish and I'll bring mine down. You'll love the little one. They sent me a new guage last week.

With age comes wisdom. Why didn't I think of that?

Everytime I've seen Steve he's been with the cooker. He may be chained to it...I don't know.

Thanks for the report DP. Catching a walleye is on my bucket list.
