    Default Rough day on Dardanelle

Here's a brief rundown on what its been like for me today:
It was a day from hell..right out of the chute...left house,,forgot phone,,backed up...into a black Hickory thats only about 100 years old, nothing a couple thousand won't cure...except my pride...Got to the lake and it was already white capping, east wind...grabbed rope to lower trolling motor, flipped a rod and reel over the side, by now I had a speach impediment...did manage to dredge it from the murky depths after 15 minutes...luckly the boat was only in 12 ft. of water, remember the east wind? Well by the time I grabbed a bouy..tossed it out, (it didn't unwind) I made up some brand new cuss words....Thank God for a GPS...I went back to the place I was when I lowered the trolling motor...and managed to retrieve the rod and reel....After that, the day got really bad....In a effort to regain my sanity, I loaded my boat and went to sisters...where I attempted to cry on her shoulder,,,instead,,she handed me the weedeater and disappeared without ONE KIND WORD.....weedeater ran out of gas just before I did...without a backwards glance, I got in my BENT UP OLD TRUCK and hurried home to my scooter doggie, He instantly demanded that I drive that junker to Wal-Mart and fetch him some roast beeef...now he is licking his chops and seems to be asking, "Hey, Whats your problem old man" I'm gonna kill him...slowly....feed him roast beef until he bursts...So, pardon me,,I don't want to hear your problems....only if they are worse than mine!!!

I did manage to catch 8 dinks in short order, great considering trolling motor had to be set on 3 to hold against the wind....don't laugh, with 8 feet of line out the wind was dragging the boat so fast that a 1/8 oz. jig was fairly skipping across the white caps....Other than this,,and the above..it was a fun day fishing..

Wow xring, sounds like one of by days....Sounds like a Friday the 13th, sci-fi flick....kind of like when a pro golfer fails to hit the green from 10yds away....you know next time things have got to get better....ps don't stop at sisters, if lawn not neatly trimmed.....

If it makes you feel any better I can tell you I haven't been catching any on the big "O", of course that would be an outright lie.Rofl You need to come down here and camp for a few days and we'll go out and catch a livewell full. Then you'll forget all about your recent misfortunes.

I was prepared to offer you the use of the "trawler" if you broke your boat. Hope things are better the next trip.

Don you gonna have to learn to longline so the wind won't bother you quite so bad.
