Info from a friend of a friend etc is that they"spawned first week of march". We were down there 2 saturdays ago and we were catching them anywhere from 10-20ft deep

We seen a bunch of crappie shallow when we conducted our electrofishing samples two weeks ago. Any shallow brushpiles had crappie on them.

At that time, it looked like some of the crappie had spawned and other had not. Most people believe water temperature is the most important factor to cause crappie or bass to move up to spawn. However, this year has shown that day length has an important effect on spawning, too.

That was two weeks ago. We was over there with the crank phone last week, and there was still crappie in those condos.
