Scott area Oxbow lake

Went to one of the many oxbows in Scott yesterday. I thought I would just go ahead and fill the freezer, so I put out a dozen yo-yo's. Boy was that a mistake. I only caught 3 fish in 2 hours, so I got mad and pulled them all. Pulled out the jig pole and went to another spot on lake, and that saved the day. Ended up with 7 crappie, 6 bass and 1 cat off the poles in under an hour. I think the yo-yo's and that lake will not meet each other again this year. But I will be back out there this weekend with Mary and Catfish (AKA Joseph).

Fish were caught in 6 fow, 3-4 ft deep, on yellow 1/16 head, Pink and chart (Electric Chicken) MidSouth skirt, still near cover and still full of eggs.
