    Assuming your talking Crappie , here it would be 3 lbs and above.

    I've caught several 16 " crappie, but if I ever catch a 17" its gonna go on the wall.

    I agree on the 3+. Anything 3 or bigger is a real trophy fish.

    Same here ! 3lbs plus . Caught one last saturday that was 17in long and weighed 2lb 11oz. But have always said the next one over 3 is going onthe wall. That one was close but didnt make it on the wall , but did make it to the fillet board !!!!! Saw one caught 30 yards behind me that same day that went 3lb 3oz and the man scaled it and cut the head off and droped it in the cooler !

    Well after the spawn, a 3 pounder is good for the table, I ain't never tried to eat one off the wall, I thank it would be kind of hard to do. A three pound crappie produces two very nice white and flakey fillet. They look really good mounted right next to some potatoes, hush puppies, coleslaw, tomato relish and onion.

    I mounted my first three pounder last year and I caught another one yesterday that is going to the taxidermist on Tuesday.
