Question Beaver Lake Crappie, rising murky water w/ tons of debris...

Does anyone out there know what happened to the softmouths? I cannot seem to get close to a bite or anything with the recent rains. Are they still hugging to the banks? Hiding under cover? I am a HUGE fan of live bait, and black/chartreuse or red/white jigs....however, nothing has sparked even the softest strike...please if anyone has any information to help...location? depth? tackle? etc.....would be GREATLY appreciated....thanks!

Hello Caleb. They are in the shade most of the day. If you can find cover on a shady bank like a bluff or under a dock that is where you will find them. Think deep, most of the fish I'm catching are down 10' to 15' in 25' plus of water. Slip float with a minnow has been my choice as of late.

J.T. -- Thanks for the reply...I went out right after I posted that topic. I fished for about 4 hours in the rain, and caught a mess of catfish, while crappie fishing, haha....ended up getting lucky about 30 minutes before sundown, caught two 1.9 lb slabs.....not bad for me on Beaver Lake....they were both still full of eggs--caught them about 2.5 feet deep in 12 foot of water, sticking to cover...thanks for the advice, I am going out probably 4 or 5 times again on Beaver this week, I will try what you said, thanks man! We need a few days without rain, =) Caleb
