    Default Hole in Lake Dardanelle

I mowed this morning,,thinking it was gonna storm any minute, then hooked up my ole boat and headed to Lake Dardanelle..I almost didn't recgonize it..it was dry, well, not dry dry, but the water level was at least two feet below normal. I suppose the corps are preparing for the heavy rains. It was whitecapping and wind was gusting pretty bad. My 70 pound thrust T/M on 4...of 5 possible, would barely hold me, the crappie were there, mad as heck, and ate my offerings quickly, unfortunately, them came the downpour, along with increased wind..I had to roll it up and come home.....soaked, cold, but happy. Hope your day was good!

I caught a limit with a couple slabs but Nimrod is still falling. Figured it would probably be rising today after the storm. Suprizing that they are still turning water loose , just not as much this morning.

I have received my warnings from the Corps that the river is going to be messed up. Epic flows are predicted in Oklahoma and it comes down river from there. They are lowering all pools in anticipation of the wall of water to come this way.
I sure hope this dosen't affect the fishing during the camp next week. I haven't wet a hook since last Fall and, I am really looking forward to meeting some I have never met and renewing some old freindships. Even Bobberwatcher.

Looking at the River's forecast, I doubt they will be releasing anything from the resivoirs for a week or two.
