Looking at the likely raised water levels from the rainfall predications over the next 48 hours I thought it might be helpful to see what others may do to adjust. Are there any changes to your fishing methods when the water gets high? Do you move deeper in search of crappie, etc? Post your thoughts and ideas. Especially you Subject Matter Experts.

I stay at home most of time. High water does scatter fish. Stable high water can be good though as i have found fish in the shallows following the baitfish.
I pull out about 2 feet more line...
Not really. They'll be shallow eating the fresh food supply. If the shallow water is not reachable by boat, it's time to chase them on foot.
i also stay home most of the time! fluctuating water always proves to be tough to fish for me, although if i can find running water usually i can catch some fish. stable high water is always fun to fish though, trying to hunt them down, although it can take time. just have to cover lots of ground
doesnt seem to matter to me, as long as the water aint muddy your good to go! imo
I live on a flood control lake which can rise over 30' which is about 4x normal average depth and covers several times the area. The fishing is better after it settles, but I don't fish alot till it drops. They can be caught but with high water added to normal factors such as weather, time of year, and such it can be tough. I would rather fish a fall than a quick rise of several feet. Atleast the fish are more adjusted as it can only fall so fast here. The fish tend to bunch up in different areas such as brushlines and points on a fall. A rise can scatter them in the woods.
