haha I was at the lake the other day and a guy said he had a 3 pound crappie he pulled it out of the live well and it was maybe 1.25 pounds. I had one near two pounds in the boat and pulled it out and he told me it prolly weighed four pounds.

Hopefully it will get down quick to normal but more rain forecasted. The invasion has begun, parks are full of spring breakers.Hope a few clears out tomarrow cause the ramps and sure the lake is a mad house. Saw a few cleaning fish , but mostly on the small side. I saw a guy who was braggin on his 2.5 pound slab which would not weigh 1.5 pounds. Either that or maybe I should borrow his scales. lol lol
Some folks fishing in the river below the dam catching fish posting them as Nimrod Lake fish. Went to Sunlight and Carter Cove parks looking, both were so full you could barely drive through.I miss fishing but hate high water and crowds. Be a good time to work in the garden.

Yep,,summer is upon us, and truthfully, I'm not ready. Winter has its merrits!!!
Warm weather does bring out the fair-weather fisherman. Gotta agree with Xring on that.
Lake Conway was the same way on Wednesday,,,dang near had to bring my own tree!
I was at Carter Cove Saturday and you are right....that place was crowded. Watched several guys trying to load their boats at the normal water ramps and that was quite entertaining...i guess they are all scared of the high water ramp for some reason. I launched at the high water ramp with no problem. All we caught were small crappie and four cats at dark. Everything seem to shut totally off once it got dark so we left about midnight. Be glad when she gets back to normal pool.
I gotta agree wit X and craft too.
