    Default New rod need reel...

Hey guys i just go me a new 11 ft outlaw rod, was needing to know what reel would be the best fit for it. I do single pole jigging no spider rigging if that makes a difference.

    Thanks for the info

I like the Pflueger Trion for the money. They are about $40. I ordered my online but I think you can get them at Wal-Mart for the same price. I have two of them and they have been good reels so far.

I also have a Trion reel and it has performed well. I also have 3 or 4 of the Mitchell Avocet Gold II's and they have been really good reels. I have had them for 4-5 years and they have been flawless. I'd say whichever is on sale between the two reels is the way to go.
