    Default Ouachita~~~great day

Folks, I got to tell you, today was a fantastic day on the big "O"...I was fortunate enough to wrangle a invitation from Slab Junkie, maybe coerced would be a better term, anyway, Now I know all his secret places~~~except I would never find them again...lol He frisked me before we left the dock, took my GPS...and I discovered that the lower half of Ouachita has 9,234,672 islands, each covered with pine and all identical in shape and size...

Seriously, Billy is a fine young man, a heck of a crappie fisherman and seriously good with a jigging pole.It was a pleasure fishing with you Billy, and I appreciate you looking after me today. Throw away the dip net!!! A man that can reach 3 foot over open water and lip a crappie before he can swim away don't need no net!!

It was a great day on the water spent with good company. Wind got a little stiff this afternoon but this morning was picture perfect. Me and X-Ring were able to manage a livewell full of nice crappie and released a few little ones. We were both amazed that we were still catching them in deep water but we'll take whatever works. You guys don't let Don fool ya, he's probably forgotten more about a jigging pole than I know. However, I did manage to lip that one crappie right off the top of water than came unhooked right at the side of the boat. Wish I had that one on video. BTW, I ordered me one of them jigging poles when I got home. I'll let you know how it works out for me. Let's do it again sometime!
