Default Finally caught a limit on Beaver.

Had a great day. Caught a lot of crappie, a few good whites and my first ever Striper. It was 8" long. Oh well gotta start somewhere. I would put out my 4 poles and longline and pock up a crappie or 2. Then when i would go over structure i would mark it on my gps and then go back and verticle jig and catch a couple more. Too much fun.

I forgot to mention I met a fellow .com'r on the lake this morning. He saw my Crappie.com sticker on my kayak. We talked a minute and he gave me a few tips and went on his way to catch his limit. I think he said his handle was Grits and Gravy.

Great job. We didn't get on Beaver until this afternoon and caught several small ones but only 3 keepers. The people we came across all said they had only caught one or two.

Good to see someone getting some crappie on beaver. mb4850, I know we talked a little last year about getting together to fish from yaks, I'm hopefully picking up my new Wilderness Commander sometime this week. I'd love to hit the lake and learn a little more about lake fishing out of a yak
