Default Tried Harris Brake for a change

I heard about good strings with some slabs being caught over there. The wind and sun was bad. Saw several boats and bank fishermen, never saw them land anything. I hung in and finally caught 3 Crappie and 3 Bass. My buddy also caught 3 Bass and we released those Bass. Water temp got up to 59 surface and started clouding up. I think the bite was going to improve but he had to take his elderly mother to supper. The 3 Crappie I had totaled over 5 lbs. If the bite picks up I may just try that lake again. I figure the water warm a couple more degrees and it will be hot. That was my first Crappie trip to Harris Brake. I used my umbrella tubes same as usual.

Nice fish. Lots bigger than the few I caught today. Pretty color too.

Nice fish Nimrod, those males are dressed for mating.

    A bad day of fishing
beats a good day at work.

They really got some dark color to them. Nice fish. I bet Lake Nimrod has really got some water in it right now!

Harris Brake may not produce the numbers some lakes do but it's got some hogs in it! Nice catch nimrod!
