    Default Lake Washington - Saturday

David (Blue Thunder) and I had a fair day at the Crappie.Com fruitjar tourney on Washington Saturday in spite of the relatively slow bite. We wound up with 38 decent fish with a couple over 2 lbs with our biggest going 2.50. We just couldn't get onto the big mammas like we needed to get in the money and wound up in a distant 5th place. David had actually wanted to fish in the area where the larger fish wound up being caught but I talked him out of it thinking the South end of the lake would be where they were at. However, it was a wonderful day on the water and weatherwise just couldn't have been any better. As posted earlier, fellow Arkansas board members Meatgetter and BRM found the larger fish and were solid in the money at 3rd place. I didn't realize it earlier but they did have a third team member in the boat from the MS board, mtbdave3, AKA "Gator". They all did a great job in the tourney. I also want to note that arkansasbowhunter, J.W., got his first taste of Mississippi delta water Saturday as he also fished the tourney. Here is a picture of Blue Thunder with our catch...

Nice catch luvpt. We had the same problem other than the big fish. We just couldn't get another really good kicker. The luck of the bite I guess.

I'd be tickled with 5th and a pile of fish like that any day of the week. It looks like a person would need a light weight McCulloch chainsaw to filet those. Congratulations on the big catch.
