    Default Stumpsticks jigs


    Fished with stump stick yesterday and people were inquiring what jigs we caught them on. Just wanted to show everyone his quality jigs. They caught us two limits yesterday.

    Good looking jigs for sure, if thats baked powder coat, how did you bust out the eyes? Man that stuff is hard!

    xring, when you powder coat the jig heads, you just have to hold them by the eye with a pair of hemostats. No cleaning necessary!

    Sorry, just noticed his eyes were full....the word on the jig tying forums is that a hot bodkin works well.

    Thanks AgriHawg, thats the BEST tip I have ever got!! I will be trying that next time, I have worn out a icepick and cutting board,,trying to gouge out the hook eyes on jigs...not to mention the holes in my fingers from the ice pick...you'd a thought I was one of them people what like's pain!...lol

    You're welcome xring....I picked that tip up on the jig tying forum....I've spent a decent amount of time over there. I paint and tie a few jigs myself.

    xring and agrihawg, i tied those real quick this afternoon to get a good pic. they are not baked,didn't have time and was out of pink heads. all customer jigs are baked and eyes are clean. thanks , jeff

    good lookin jigs! i use a mini torch and bodkin to punch the cured paint out of the eyes!

    Oh, and I do really like the looks of the pink/silver/chartreuse jig.
