    Default Windy,but had a good day! 4/30/06

My brother and I had a good day of fishing, catching them with my favorite method, slow rolling a roadrunner over structure. We caught a lot of crappie, kept 35 good ones. The 35 weighed 36lb. 4oz. caught several white bass and catfish too. Water temp cooled down over 10 degrees since last Sunday, I guess from all the rain last night. It was 68 degrees when we started and 72 when we finished. The wind wasn't bad when we started but was white capping when we left. Had a lot of fun, hope everybody had a good day today.

I was fishing in 10-11 ft. of water with structure about 5-6ft. down. Running roadrunner just over structure.

Ahh........I think I'm starting to get a little sick. Maybe I should take the day off tomorrow to rest up. Thanks for the motivation, Jerry.

I thought I told those crappie to wait on me last time I was there. I guess that I'll have to put a hurtin' on them slabs next time. Have you given anymore thought to slow trolling (spider rig) those roadrunner's around that cover?

Yeah, I think trolling would probably work good , I'll have to give it a try.

It sure is fun catching them castin'. As long as they are biting, that's the technique I would use. You can save the trolling for a slow day.

Which number was the most productive? Was it your usual? #3?
